If you are interested in the planets, you will probably know that Jupiter and Saturn mainly comprise hydrogen. Water, which covers 71 per cent of the earth's surface, also contains
hydrogen.
But what precisely is hydrogen?
Hydrogen is a gas that we cannot see, cannot feel and cannot smell. It is non-toxic and lighter than air.
In the project phase 1997 to 2006 the H2argemuc project, whose website you are currently visiting, was also involved with the issue of how this gas can be used to get buses, forklift trucks and automobiles on the move. The partner group - including Aral/BP, Bayerngas, BMW Group, Munich Airport, Grimm Aerosol Technik, The Linde Group, MAN, Proton Motor, Siemens, TÜV SÜD and the Bavarian State Ministry for Economics as a provider of funding - opened the world's first public hydrogen filling station in 1999. Within the framework of their research activities these partners intended to investigate something: Where in future will we get this "fuel of the future" that can already be bought at selected filling
stations?

If the answer "Simply fly to Jupiter, collect the hydrogen in bottles and put a lid on them" seems strange, and you fancy taking a little energy trip into the future, simply click here!!!
Have fun ...
